The Halls Head Primary School choir is showing the community that “harmony rocks!” with their Harmony Day performance on Thursday March 21.
The troupe of 60 children have been rehearsing after school for the past month, preparing their own version of the Queen song ‘One Vision’ to promote harmonious diversity.
“Harmony Day celebrates our nation’s cultural diversity” Choir Director Sian Dhu said, “however, harmony is also present in music: You can’t get harmony if you all sing the same note. This metaphor ties in beautifully to the whole spirit of the day.”
“As such, it seemed only natural that our choir would want to create a performance for Harmony Day!”
Halls Head Primary School will be holding a full Harmony Day assembly, with Year 2 students presenting information and poems celebrating diversity. The choir’s song and dance performance will close the ceremony.
